My new Pup

Neighbors were giving away free puppies on Halloween....so we brought one home. Named him Auto like the character from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. Black Lab and short hair collie mix.

thats young man, u better do the work when it comes to teaching her how things work cuz her mom aint that to do the work
i've seen some nutty dogs that get seperated too young

Six weeks is fine. You should look at getting some puppies replacement milk. Use it 2 times a day. Also feed that young pup the best, get food called Blue, its made by the blue buffalo co. Fully holistic. You would be blown away to see whats put in alot of dog food that people dont even know about.

Nah, we named him Auto, wanted some sort of car reference, and thought of the Gone in 60 Seconds thing later. So, Auto it is.

Yeah, six weeks is about the earliest you'd want to take a pup from its mother. He's about seven weeks old now. He's totally off milk. I thought about that when we first got him, but I didn't want to switch his food on him again.
He's doing very well. I have him sitting on command, he is darn near house trained...he lets us know when he needs to go, we just don't have much time after that to get him out. He does great in the kennel and on the leash, following along side me and stopping and sitting when I stop. It's been a lot of work, but I want him to do very well.
Just working on the socializing things that his mamma would have showed him in the next couple weeks...no biting when playing, the difference between puppy and human...things like that.
He's a lot of work, but I really enjoy it and I have high hopes for him.
