Claybar and wax today...

The paint is smooth like glass now (actually, smother!). I love the claybar results. Highly recommend to anyone.
Yes it's a cell phone camera...

Looks great, makes me want to clay my car. But I don't think claying a silver car isn't really worth it lol.

Great looking car! Ive been wanting to do this to my car because i hear claying it gets good results...

Hopefully this isnt thread jacking, but im not really sure how to clay my car? Is it is easy as it sounds? just rub a clay bar on there and whipe it off or what?

It's pretty much that easy.
I got the Mother's kit which came with 2 clay bars, a good towel, and some spray that lubricates the clay.
You will have to wax your car after claying.
A good way to spend a few hours on a weekend...with beer.

go and buy a $20 Meguiars clay bar kit...it'll have two clay bars, a bottle of spray lube, cleaner wax, and a wipe cloth...takes a little over an hour for a good deep clean...and don't forget to wax the car when done...yes the kit comes with a cleaner wax, but i don't use it..i use meguiars gold class paste wax

huh...i always thought that the clay bar was used to take swirls out. So is that just the wax then that does that?

the clay will take off debris in the paint, and sometimes even overspray...along with the old wax and swirl marks formed into that wax...thats why you re-wax when finished to start from fresh

Claying is to remove the above surface bonded contaminates from your paint. It will remove fallout, rail dust, tree sap, non etched water spots, and others contaminates. It basically cleans the paint preparing it for either multi stage polishing which removes scratches, swirls, holograms, etc. which is then waxed after or it preps the paint for a fresh coat or wax or a sealant. Because after claying your vehicle will have no protection whatsoever as the old wax will also be removed in the claying process as well so thats why you need to wax right after so that you lock in that smooth clean surface. Just know that a wax will not remove scratches unless it is an all in one (AIO) product or a cleaner wax. Also know that claying will not remove any scratches at all no clay will. It may appear as it has but its not that scratches that were removed its the contaminates that were which makes the paint both feel smoother and look clearer. I hope this helps you out man. I had to post today as I saw I just made it to 2000 posts!

Bluedevil nice job it looks clean.
