Installed my EGR Delete PIC

Deleted my EGR late last night and it made a big difference in the appearance of the engine bay. Also found my header leak that i was dreading fixing, it ended up being the EGR tube that bolts to the header was almost completely loose! Took it off and plugged it with the cap provided in the kit and problem solved

. Anyways ill let the pic speak for itself and if anyone has any questions im more than happy to help. The car does throw the CEL but that can be turned off from my tuner and i also noticed zero drivability issues.

doesnt an egr help your car. what does eliminating it do?

it doesn't hurt the car, it recirculates exhaust gasses. only benefit is in the winter it would warm up the intake charge to help warm up the engine. it is an emissions control device.

how much was that kit and is it stuff you can buy readily at a hardware store?

damn, $25 for a gasket, a block off plate, and an appropriate sized nut? they're making a killing. i should start making these for $15 a pop and undercut them!
