haha! i specifically remember seeing that car on ebay a while back! it was only like 20k and it didnt have NEAR as much damage you'd expect after seeing that picture...

i believe that happened here in G'ville FL. or another lotus did that here, it was in the paper awhile back

fortunately that car only weighs about 3 pounds so they probably just lifted it back on with their pinky fingers and buffed out the tiny, 3lb/ft of force's dent that resulted

Yeah it was here in FL somewhere. I remember reading about it somewhere when I first moved out here. He said he was pissed cause he'd have to take his "other" Lotus to the regional Lotus cruise...

Also, when he got to the shop he specifically told the mechanics about the front/rear weight ratio, and pulled the manual to show them this, and went a step further to crawl under the car with the shop foreman or something like that to show him the lift points on the car to keep a rear mounted engine car from falling off a lift.

If I remember correctly he was also good friends with the shop owner, whom he left with to go get lunch while the shop mechanics were body slamming his car!

Dropped my Elise off to the local Goodyear shop to have new F1G3s installed. My Father-in-law is the service manager and has been for 10 years. He is out on medical leave, but he met me at the shop this morning, because he understands the uniqueness of the car.

I handed them the tire tools and opened the Owner's Manual to the jacking instructions so they would be clear. We went over all the instructions and they assured me I was in good hands.

We (my father-in-law and I both left)

1 hour later I get a call about the "accident" and that I needed to come down...

WTF!

So this is what I found...
