Sub system in trunk? post your pics

I have a rockford p3 and box from my old car and theres no way in hell it will fit in my mustang's trunk. So needless to say, I need to get something different. Post up some pics of your systems. I wanna get some ideas and hear feedback about what works and what doesnt, what sounds good and what doesnt. Thanks a lot!

Im running two 15" in individual boxes facing up into the trunk with a audiobhan 1800wat mono amp mounted to the back seat. The ONLY way those would fit was by removing the entire mach460 box that came in the trunk and I removed the tweeters from that and remounted them under the speaker grill. there is also a flap of carpet under those speaker grills I cut that carpet away and put the grill back reason being is that once I removed the factory box there is two empty spaces under those grills and the subs just sound a hell of alot better with that open air space to breathe. When it warms back up one of those subs will be coming back out to drop some weight though.

Ya I really don't need anything crazy. I just got the stock mach460 now and I need somethin better than that. Doesnt need to be heavy, doesnt need to be 15". I had a 12" Rockford p3, with 500rms, and that thing pounded. Im sellin it this weekend. Im gonna miss it haha.

Does putting in a new head unit really help the sound a lot? Even without subs?

And do you have any pics of what you were talkin about?

I dont but I could take pics of it tommorow and I have to figure out how to post pics on here. You just have to make sure you get a wiring harness that allows you to use your factory amps along with your new head unit. an aftermarket unit allows you to have more control over the sound.

You're better off getting a nice deck with many tuning abilities (alpine, pioneer, soundstream), a 4 channel amp, and 2 component systems. Even without a sub, it will be more than enough to play high quality music very loudly as well. Stock speakers with a sub doesn't sound very good imo, having heard it countless times.
This is what I used to have in my car until I got over it and realized it was pointless being that I only listen to rock.

I'll post some pics tomorrow. I have a custom sub box that slides all the way to the back of the trunk so that I can still access my spare tire and have tons of trunk room. I had to remove the bulky amp rack but the amps werent really needed because of my aftermaret headunit. I have two rockford fosgate p1's and it sounds and looks great!

Posting pics is easy. Upload them to photobucket and copy and paste the [IMG] code it gives you. Works everytime

True but around here you cant find too many tracks open in the winter so.... and the wife likes to blast my music when she is in it. But when the track does open back up it takes no more than 5 to 10 minutes to take all of it and same to put it back in. I can spare it.

To the OP i hope you got the answers you were kinda lookin for bc it seems as if the thread is kinda taking another direction. Plain and simple you have car guys you have sound guys and you have guys that are into cars and sound that can turn a wrench and wire a complete audio system at the same time doesnt seem too bad on the knowledge side to me maybe im wrong. Know one/cars or know them both/cars & audio I think knowing them both wouldnt hurt.

I bought mine and little did I know it had a "System" in it! Basically I have no trunk and it looks like these BIG A** Subs were just thrown in the back. I guess I cant complain considering I can actually hear my music when I'd like too.

Here's a pic of mine. I bought it with these two 10" JLB's and a 1000 watt amp in it.. I believe Car Pros did the original install. The only problem is I need to bolt it in or attach it somehow. Donuts = lots of disconnected wires lol.
