Finally got my Cobra lowered!

Here is a pic of my Cobra the day I got it. Some idiot mounted the front '01 Cobra bumper with bolts through the side of the bumper. I have since replaced it with a 03-04 bumper, and also 03-04 side skirts as seen in the lowered pics.

It has H&R SS in the front, and Suspension Technology w/a coil removed in the rear. The H&R's are new and I just left the springs in that I got with my SRA swap in the rear. I like the stance, so I am debating changing the rear to the H&R's also. I just don't know if I want to do the extra work, even though it isn't too bad in the rear. I just hate to change it and not like the stance, and have to go back.

Another question to the guys running H&R's, how much did they settle over the first few weeks? I ask because, I took the pics a day after I put the springs in, and it is already as low as I want to go. I have rubbed my x-pipe twice already. I don't have the iso's in, and I don't really want to have to tear it back apart, as I had a very hard time getting the driver side spring in as it was. BTW, I know my wheels are very dirty.

I dropped about and extra 1/2 inch after two weeks. If you like the stance, don't change anything. Some of the guys I know, they just cut the stock springs. I really don't think it matters about having matching springs in the front and back. Looks good man.... Enjoy.

p.s. My front doesn't look as low as yours... Close though....

Thanks, and also thanks for the info. I can live with it, if it only drops another 1/2". I'll just have to be careful. I scraped yesterday coming up to a red light because of grooves in the pavement from traffic

Thanks. They are 17x9's all the way around with 245/45/17 tires. Soon to be deep dish cobra's 17x9 up front and 17x10.5 in the rear with a 315 rear tire. I have the tires at my house and the wheels should be here later this week. The wheels will be for sale soon if your might be interested.

Sweet man!! I just bought some 18x9's just like that! I got a real good deal on them and I should pick them up Saturday!! I hope they look good on my 01 oxford white GT!!

It should look pretty good. One of the sets of wheels I had on my old 94 was some 18" Cobra R's. I liked them, but I did end up trading them out a couple of times. I thought they looked bigger than 18's at times from different angles.

It was a Fobra. It already had the Cobra emblems, front bumper, airbag, and floor mats when I got, so I added the rear Cobra bumper and Cobra R hood to finish the clone. It did have over 500 RWHP and over 500 RWTQ though, so atleast it ran like a well built Cobra LOL.

Looks much better. Still haven't figured out why they send us our cars out of the factory looking like a 4WD. Must be and engineering thing? I had a 95 that was "pushing weeds". My 03 is not as low. Had a lot of scraping problems with the 95 so I stayed a little higher this time. But, low looks great if you have the roads to pull it off.
