Actually ended up trading it back to the guy I got it from for this 66...He called Friday night to say he'd straight trade, and I owned the 66 my noon Saturday.

After putting 200 miles on this thing in a day, I don't think I'll ever own a late model again. I am in love with this car.

not sure if you hadnt had much time to do much to your 8 but you should try and get it as clean as the 6er

Well I grew up around classics so this car is actually one of ones on my list dream cars.

The difference is everything....The sound, the smell, the feeling of the engine and the 4 speed, the looks you get, the comments, being able to tune the car myself and the ease of working on these, and (to me anyways) no computers and having everything mechanical. I just like to idea of driving a piece of American Muscle Car history. I was LUCKY to get the deal I did on this car. It is a fresh complete restoration with only 8k miles on just about everything on the car.

Blown, I'm with you on the old stuff man. Congrats on the trade!!! You made out.... late models are a dime a dozen. 1st gen stangs are getting tough to come by in such clean condition.
