my ride's new look

now, my question is, this hood is hard as hell to shut. i already moved back the posts by re-drilling holes to make those little plastic screws work. still wont hardly shut, i worked on it for about an hour before nearly blowing up. finally got it to shut, opened it again, and the bastard wont shut again. any tips to make a cobra bumper work with a mach 1 hood?

can I elongate the latches slots and make the latch lift up more?

I didn't think about that actually may not be a bad idea. I just don't want "posts" sticking out of my hood. Wouldn't mind a trick set of latches or some sir if they make them. I do have a set of hood pins laying around though.

Off topic but what color is that? Still atlantic blue?

You might have already checked this but is the hood hitting on the rubber bumpers in the middle of the fender? I had to cut one of mine down to almost nothing because of the way my cowl hood fit.

i may check this out as well, thanks for the heads up. i don't think it's that though, the hood shut just fine before the bumper went on.

Before you go putting any old hood pins on check out this site. Has several different types ALL cableless and pinless. They are pricey but WAY NICE!!! Quik-Latch.Com Home Page

I got it fixed today. Moved the latch up and over a small amount and got it to shut just fine. Thanks!
