Killer powder coat color

I picked up a used set of valve covers to powder coat for my '05 mustang and I found a powder called Flat Plate Blue Transparent which I used. Since it's transparent you have to put some sort of base color under it so I used a chrome powder after putting some primer coats down. I think they turned out pretty cool! Not the best pics since I just used my cell phone last night to take these but you'll get the idea.

I just went and checked the pics on my phone, and it looks great from what I can see. Almost looks like a candy blue. Thumbs up.

Thanks!

Here's actual candy blue over polished aluminum I did for a friend's dragster's valve covers.

I need to build myself a bigger oven and enclose the area in my basement where I do it for dust control. I want to be able to do more coating and be more confident doing it but it's annoying doing it in a small kitchen oven.

I'm hoping in the next few months to build an oven tall enough that I can powder coat the entire rear axle of my car which will be fun!

The big oven is the only thing stopping me from doing powder coating. I don't want to be limited to an old household oven, but bigger ovens are crazy expensive

If you build it yourself it's not that bad. I figure the bigger oven will cost me somewhere between $600-800 to make and if I start doing some coating to make money I could pay that off fairly quick. It's worth the convenience alone to be able to put more than one damn thing in at once.

I've been on some oven building forums and it doesn't look like anything I want to tackle right now. Plus to me, $600-$800 is a lot of money to fork over for an oven. It'd never fly with the GF
