Got me a new beater truck for $500

Needs some work on the inside and out but runs strong.

However, I got the thing last night, went to best buy to pick up a laptop for my dad right before they closed at 9pm, put it behind the seat were it cannot be seen, drove 200 or so yards over to walmart so my girlfriend and I could pick up a few things for Memorial Day, came out and the window was shattered and laptop was gone. It's not easy to see inside that truck and you definately couldn't see behind the seat. It's a no brainer that someone was watching me and followed. I can give a shit about the truck but the laptop almost cost more than what I paid for the truck. I feel horrible for my dad who is out $500 now...

Talking about a good day gone bad. On the brightside I still have my baby.

yea man thats fucking lame, people always seem to jack laptops too. my brother has had 3 laptops jacked. all were 1k+ gaming laptops

Yeah. It sucks. Really scary to think that I was followed.
Also, can't even describe the feeling of coming back and seeing the window down. At first I just thought I had left it down but then realized I wasn't that stupid, saw the light reflect off the glass and instantly reached behind the seat. Definately was a bit of shock.

if its a strip mall they most likely have cameras report that shit to the cops!

For a $250 deductable they will cover the window. So that isn't worth it. They will not cover the laptop. Homeowners insurance would for a $500 deductable but my dad only paid $450 for it, so that wouldn't be worth it either. He just went and bought the third laptop in the last two weeks. The first one was mine btw...
