Finally painted the valve covers

Well I finally recieved my stickers and got to paint my valve covers! here are some pics of the finnished product!

Thanks guys, Im really happy with how they turned out and it was relativley easy.

yes they are stickers (i wish i was that tallented) I layed a coat of clear down the put the sticker on and put a few more coats of clear down.

it took me 3 days after work but it should only take 2. i scrubbed them with a wire brush and degreaser and sanded them some to scuff them up. then after they were clean and scuffed i rubbed them down with acetone for a final cleaning. then i put 3-4 coats of duplicolor high heat engine primer, 3 coats of the sonic blue pearl color down and 1 coat of high heat engine clear coat down. waited for the clear to dry like 30 minutes, put the stickers on and then put 3 more coats of clear down. i let the paint dry overnight and cure for a day before i put them on but i did one at a time so it took an extra day.

lol...

i think im gonna pick up a spare set of covers from a friend and paint them...then swap them with mine to make it an easy ordeal...maybe after that i can paint mine yellow and go from there
