Painted Calipers

I was bored tonight, I needed to fix my X pipe because it was sitting to low, so I decided to fix that, paint my calipers, and paint my fenderwells black. Looks a lot better. I wanted to paint the calipers Redfire, but 1 I didnt feel like waiting, 2 I was bored, 3 I like how they came out. Dont mind my rims, their dirty as hell.

Yes I did do the rear calipers, but those are so small, just looks gay with a picture. Ill get some better pics tomorrow, it was 3am when I finished up. I used the Duplicolor kit you get a autozone, and I had a can of Red caliper paint too, I went over it with that. I think it came out nice, when I do my brakes soon, Ill touch them up where the brake pad is.

Looks good. I think you should do them Redfire when you do your brakes. Don't get me wrong, they look great as they are now, I just think they'd be even better matching the car. Same with the caliper brackets, having them red as well would make them pop more (but I know you couldn't do them well without actually removing them).

I just sprayed them with caliper cleaner then painted them. You can sand them, but I didnt even bother.

For mine, I used the dupli-color BRUSH-ON kit.

I used the brake cleaner spray that came in the kit and a steel brush to clean the calipers then.... Paint away!

Here's mine....

I tried to leave the bracket black but I changed my mind and painted it red as well... Kinda looked incomplete if you leave it black or unpainted IMO...

I disagree. I thought all red was too much, and painted my brackets back black. Where did ou get the mustang sticker for those, or did you just paint the mustang letters on there. Looks good.

It's a caliper decal set that I got from eBay like marq's link... Came with 4 decals, two bigger/wider ones for the front and smaller ones for the rear. However, the rear ones were still too big for the small space on the rear caliper so I just didn't put them on... I've had them for almost 3(?) years without any problem as far as fading or peeling... Get them, I think it adds a nice touch.
