Painted some more stuff

I just painted my calipers, I liked how they came out. Ive been wanting to do black out tail lights for a while. Went to autozone, didnt have any of that VHT shit. So I went to Pep boys, they had it. Also had Duplicolor Redfire paint. So decided to paint my intercooler piping redfire, and black out the tail lights.

I wish I sanded the piping down alittle more, but I didnt have any more sandpaper.

Putting it all back togeather tomorrow. Should look good.

Looks good Shaun. Let those pipes dry really well before you reinstall them. I painted my CAI a while back and got antsy about putting it back in. The couplers ended up rubbing the paint off the the tubing and some areas got scuffed up since the paint was still wet under the top layer.

Thanks man! And yup, lol that happend when I painted them black. Only on one of the pipes, but it sucked.

Im thinking, since I found those cans of redfire, I MAY re paint my calipers. I know its not high temp, but I know you can do it.

Also was thinking about painting my wheels black with a redfire lip around it. I dont like bullitts, but black bullitts look good.

What do you guys think of painting the trim piece that goes around the radio and climate controls and shifter? Painting that redfire? The interior is so bland. I have my dashpod, shiftlight, Mach 1 seats, but it needs something else. But I dont want to make it look like shit if I do that.

Sweet, you will love the look of the tails. Especially if you delete your spoiler. I was in a tossup on if I wanted blacked out tail lights or not so I kept changing back and fourth. Needless to say my tails are staying blacked out.

Oh and yea do your interior pieces.

Mine:

(steering wheel cover is now gone. )

I know the process is straight forward but maybe this will help by chance. I did this about a year ago...
For those who have been asking about painting interior trim pieces.

Damn Shaun, you're turning into me with all your painting I'm not a fan of Bullitts either (although I have a set on my car right now) but I think black with a Redfire lip or pinstripe would look good. And those 2 pieces of the interior would look good painted. You should also consider doing the panels that you grab on to when you close the doors (to spread the color around). Here's mine painted white

Sorry about the shitty quality of the pics, a dark garage and cell phone camera don't mix well

Oh and Shaun, if you ever want to sell the bullitts. You know someone local and could use them... Just look down about an inch and look at my sig for an ugly reminder.

Do it! Hell, if you don't like it you can pull a Zaterkaz and paint every little piece of your interior black (although he does have the colored parts like mine, but I guess dark grey wasn't dark enough for him)

You know, that's not the first time I've heard that. I painted the defrost panel that is right up by the windshield white like 2 months ago and the reflection bothered me enough that I painted it black instead. It wasn't a whole lot darker than the panel around it
