Hand Drawing of My Mustang (WIP)

Here's something I've been working on, thanks to 6er for the motivation

It's still got a long way to go before it's finished, but so far this is about 2 hours in, I'll update the thread as I near completion. Need to figure out how to draw the emblem in more detail :| Mirror is a little funny right now, and I need to add in the rims, but it's not looking too bad for not drawing anything since high school.

Well, it's 3:30AM so this is where I left off for the night. Wheels are starting to take shape, front bumper is almost done. Still a lot of work to do, but It's looking better.

It's looking really go so far. I'd love to do one too, but I've gotten so used to having an undo button, that I don't know if I could do traditional drawing anymore.

Should look good when finished. I always have the hardest time to keep myself from shading as I draw the outlines. Makes me want to start a new project now, hmm.

Thanks man. I appreciate the encouragement. I suppose the worst that can happen is I don't like it, then no one would know anyway

Its coming along nicely! Your proportions are right on. Much better than others I've seen. I think I've drawn most every car except my own. Haven't dug out the pad and pencils for quite awhile tho. Nice work. Anxious to see it finished.

Thanks! The only things I can't seem to work out right are the mirrors and the rims, but I'll keep trying. It's a tad funny when drawn because in the picture I'm drawing from (the one in my sig) the wheels are turned, so it looks funny without shading them.

Never got into drawing on the computer, always liked pencil and paper better. ad photoshop for a few years now, almost bought a pad for the computer to draw on, but decided against it.

i do the same thing. I started on the shading before I even had the full outline finished, but I gradually worked the outline all the way to the back of the car, so now I just have to figure out the wheels and the damn mirrors.

Thanks for the motivation with this, without you, I wouldn't have started this! I drew a picture of my old honda back in high school, and someone asked me about it on facebook because it ended up being printed in a school magazine this year. I graduated last year, so I never got to see the magazine :\

Thanks! It took awhile to get the proportions correct, drawing from a smaller picture, I'm gonna have to imagine the shadows and GT badges, pony emblem in greater detail, but I'll work on it over the next few days, and eventually draw it on a large piece of paper to hang on the wall.

That's amazing. Great work! I'll deal with the wheels when I feel like spending 2 hours to get nothing done. Lol. Working on the shading for the car right now. Probably going to exaggerate the sahding a bit since it's a white car.
