06' CBR pics

Did a quick detail today. Didn't have any chain lube, so couldn't do a full wash with the hose.

Quick wipe down with windex
clay bar
IPA
Glaze
Seal
Wax (coming tomorrow)

Little cold to be going out looking for a primo location, so my side yard will have to do.

And the new swing arm so I can finally get rid of those extensions. Got it off ebay for $70 to my door. Came off a bike a guy blew the motor on after 2,000 miles when he decided to run nitrous through it at the drag strip. Said he tried to run a 100 shot and it didn't hold

And the piece that was ground off the stock one making it useless.

I'm taking her out tomorrow and sunday. Cold today and had too much shit to do. May be the last rides with this ridiculous extended swing arm.

The bike handles like a pig with the extended swing arm. The turning radius is absolutely ridiculous and it doesn't want to tip in at all. Requires a lot of handle bar input to get it to lean. It's pretty bad when my dads 900cc Vulcan feels like it's more responsive.

I'm not a fan of the look either. If it was all one piece then I'd be ok with the look, but these are just extensions bolted to the stock swing arm so it looks half assed to me.

I think a sport bike should handle just as well as it accelerates. It should tip in easy, it should be able to flip from lean left to lean right quickly, and the rear tire being moved back slows all of that down tremendously.

Lefty - I'm going on for a short ride on her here in a bit, then out for prolly a 200 mile ride tomorrow. Supposed to be sunny and 75* tomorrow. Perfect weather.
