Well.. Can't believe I did it..

Traded in the Mustang for a truck! Recently found out I'm going to be a daddy so it was time for something with four doors.. I think I did pretty good. They wanted almost $17,000. Talked them down to $15,000 and was given $14,000 and change on my trade. I think it was very fair. Under 100k miles. Here is a few pic's. More to come this weekend. Absolutely loaded. It is a 2003, 5.4 V8, Lariat FX4 with tow package.

Sucks you had to get rid of the stang, but the truck looks nice! How are you liking it so far?

I guess they must ask a lot more where you are for trucks...I found a quad cab Lariat down here with under 100k miles for about 8k! I wonder if it's because the demand of 4x4's are higher up there with the snow...?

Wouldn't doubt it. I couldn't find anything with under 100k miles on it for under the price they were asking for this one. At a dealer anyway. A few private's but they weren't in nearly as good shape as this one.

I like it a lot so far! Ride and drive's great for a 4x4. The Lariat interior is awesome. Love the leather seat's. I think the only thing I'm going to do to it is get remote start.

I can't say that I'm to depressed about the Mustang. As soon as I sell my yet un-used supercharger kit and all the supporting mod's I'll be on the hunt for another Stang anyway.

I really can't believe how nice the truck is. The previous owner (is a one owner, now two owner) really kept good care of it. Interior is spotless. It's loaded to the gills so that helped take some of the edge off of getting rid of my Mustang. It also has brand new tires and brakes!

Yup. Have a Paxton Novi 2200 HO kit still in the box along with everything needed to make 500RWHP easy. Found out I'm going to be a dad so the S197 had to go. It would have costed me WAY to much money to race. I'm not going to let a car break me, especially when I have a kid coming. Next project will be much cheaper to race,break and fix. I wish I was in a good enough spot to have kept the Mustang, but I am not. If I want to buy a house next year and not be broke all the time, I had to get rid of it. Selling my Ranger and my Supercharger kit and associated parts. Should have near $7000 to spend on the next project.

that's my favorite bodystyle ford pickup. i looked for them around here alot when i bought my dodge, but i got a deal on it so i couldn't pass it up.

Congrats on the purchase man, after my Subie fetish I also have been wanting a truck because I've missed opportunities to get furniture for free because I couldn't carry it (Damn small space!).

Congrats on the kid man, it will really change your life. Don't worry, in 5 years you can get back to toys.. that's about how long it takes for the drain on your pocket to start reducing (with them going to school and all). I went from high end luxury car leases every 2 - 3 years to "drive it till the mf'ing wheels fall off" and now I'm with the stang and happy as shit. Still have the kid carrier, 06 Ford Explorer.
