Time For A New Look.

Welp, i finally got fed up with my tan top.
So i set out on a mission to get a black one.

Spent some time around the net, calling local places for prices, and they all wanted way to much. :[

SO, i started REALLY looking into spray dye-ing my top.
Low and behold Duplicolor makes a Vinyl, and Fabric paint, which is pretty much a dye.

I just got it done today, 2 cans of flat black, and one of gloss!
The results are BETTER than a OEM top.
Why do i say that?
Because it looks SO much deeper, and...blacker than oem tops that i've seen.

Here are some photos (un-edited), and this is only step one.
Im going to be plastidip-ing my windshield frame later, or tomorrow.

I never understood why Ford put tan tops on red cars. That looks so much better. Nicely done.

would have never caught that sticker on the back if u didnt say something thats good, the top looks great too deffinitly changes the whole car

Dupli-Color's fabric paint can be great. I sprayed my entire interior from tan to black.

I need to re-do it however. Its getting faded and looks rough. Thinking of going with a flat black this time instead of gloss for a more factory look.

Well dang, I already liked the look of your car with the tan top even but this black has really just set it off. Looks great I bet you are really pleased with the results. Nice lisence plate sticker haha

And its Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric Spray Dye.
Its 7 bucks a can, and the second best investment ive made too this car.
2 cans of flat, and one of gloss, although, if i could have done it again, i would have gotten a 2nd gloss for touchup's.
