Easy man...did it just like my axleback. Started with a medium sanding disc on a drill to smooth the surface and then started hand sanding with a 180 grit, 320, then started wetsanding with a 400, 800, 1000 and then 2000. Each time sanding enough to remove the scratches left by the more coarse grit. After 2000 I used a cotton buffing wheel and mag/aluminum polish with a drill. It was way easier than the axleback

Looks awesome man! I've thought about this but heard it's a pain to keep lookIng good. I'll be interested to see how it holds up. I might reconsider doing it. Cause damn it looks good.

Nice. Personally, I like the red calipers on black. Besides, that's too much damn work

Those definitely stand out. Would you be able to paint the COBRA black to match the car? Just an idea I thought would look cool.

Definitely an amazing look, but I have a feeling brake dust is going to be a bitch to keep off.

I think so too. However, is there a high temp "clear coat" you can get for brakes? That might help. I've never seen this done before either and it does look good. I'd leave it if you can find some high temp clear coat.

Edit: I <3 Google. I'd try this:
VHT Clear Glass Caliper Coating VHT Clear Glass Caliper Coating

If it is still a pain in the ass to keep brake dust of off it may be time to paint though.

They will stay sealed and waxed just like my exhaust and wheels ( which are also polished aluminum )....it really shouldn't be too bad, especially since I drive it once or twice a week now and it never really gets
dirty.

Sealer or wax will melt right off and make it worse, if anything. It will get soft and a become a dust magnet... It won't take much either. One drive down the freeway or one aggressive accelerate and brake maneuver.
