Android MM Wallpaper App

Hey guys,

So a little background, I do Android app development professionally and have been tossing around the idea of making a small app that is dedicated to pictures of moddedmustangs! It would have the ability for you to set them as your wallpaper, and probably not much more.

It'd be possible that I could create a backend to it so that people could submit pictures to a database and then they would automatically populate into the app. It could also be that we get ~10-30 mustang pics together and I can just put them into the app hard coded.

The idea could turn into something bigger if people had features/ideas they thought would be useful.

Whats everyone think?

Yeah..I think if there is enough people interested that would donate pics of their car with free usage rights I could make it happen.

Anyway to do live ones where burnouts are simulated?

Burnouts might be possible, depending on how I did it. Not sure how crazy resource intensive it would be to have just a simple video playing. I can look into it!

Just sold my droid. >.< Guess I'll use my brother old droid to upload/browse if you decide to make the app! I'm in. I have a good many pics you could use.

I like it! I have a few nice shots of my car I could donate for a pics database.

I think it would be cool to have the pictures automatically change on the desktop periodically like on Windows 7. If this is possible anyway

I plan to make this a reality over the holidays. I'll let you guys know when i'm ready for pictures etc.! I think my initial plan will be to get roughly 30 pictures and then launch it and we can add more later. Ideally we will have categories for different generations, ex: foxbody, sn95, new edge etc.

I'll keep you guys posted!
