My Project Thunderbird.

Well, I sold off my Mustangs last year and got a pickup. I had intended on getting another mustang, but my family remembered that I had always wanted a Thunderbird Super Coupe, so they got me one for my birthday. It was a complete work in progress, needing the engine and transmission rebuilt as well as paint and body work.

So far I have rebuilt the engine and transmission, fixed the headlight panel, put the new fender and drivers mirror on, sanded, primed it and now I am into the paint stage.

Mods list:
75MM BBK Throttle Body
C&L 75MM MAF
.20 over hardened hyper eutectic pistons
ARP Head Studs and Main studs.
Full 3" exhaust with magnaflow resonators and mufflers
3" Pulley on the blower.
BBK Short throw shifter
3.27 Trac Loc
Sport Springs.

Nope. The final touches are going to be the Thunderbird SC on the bumper filled in with black lettering, the spoiler will remain black, but will have clear coat, and I might get some lettering on both sides of the hood saying 3.8L Supercharged.

Thanks. Me too man, I am dying to get her back on the road. Been a long time coming.

Thanks. Yeah, you usually see them done like the previous owner of mine did. Stupid flames and flat black crap all over it. I would really like to finish it off with some black/w chrome lip FR500's, but I would have to swap off from the damned 4.25x5 wheel pattern, or get something like wobbly bolts.

Thanks. I borrowed the blue from it's younger ford cousin, Bright Atlantic Blue Metallic from the mustang cobra.

That's quite the impressive transformation. I'm looking forward to seeing how this looks when it's all done.

Great color choice! I love seeing cars that have been run into the ground being built back into the great machines they once were

Me and my dad both caught colds, so progress has been slow. We completely finished out the paint today. Laying down the clear tomorrow, then unwrapping it and putting everything back together.
