Heres my small collection - Ive been thinking about selling them both and getting into a Porsche Carrera 4s or a C5 Corvette

C5 Z06 or don't bother selling them. I know a lot of guys that switched from Mustang to Vette just to switch back a few years later because of how much harder and expensive it is to live with a Vette. So in my opinion, to make it worth it, I'd have to have a Z06. Carrera 4S would be alright but you'd have to find one with a bit mileage on it to get it for the price of both your GT and your Lightning. Those bitches hold resale value like crazy. Early 90's Carrera's are still in the $15-$25k range and 2000's on are still in the $40-$90k Range depending on options.

If I got a corvette it would be a coupe (targa top) I dont see how its any more expensive other than body panels and transaxle parts, all the rest of the parts are standard GM and LS1 stuff. 99-02 Carreras with 80k-100K+ are selling between 15-20k.

The stang and L have 140k and 96k respectively. But i would take nothing less then 16500 for them both.

The L gets about 8mpg and 14 on the highway on a good day while paying 3.50 a gallon.

The carreras have a well documented problem with the engines mystically killing themselves.

We'll see what happens in spring

other than a '51 ford the lightning (even similar f150s that aren't extended) would be the only truck I could see myself rolling... oh.... add in a Ram cummings.. they are beasts

Honestly while i would love the power of a lightning, I would end up with the truck as my DD so I would probably opt for a v6 f150 xlt shortbed stepside (basically the same minus the power)

I have had the pleasure of driving my father n laws Lightning a few times. He keeps talking bout trading it for an S2000 and I keep trying to figure out how I can afford to buy it from him. Here's a pic I took a while back of ours together.

Very cool its a hard descision but theyre alot of nice cars out there that I would love to own. Ive added some to my list to test drive

I love the lightning and mustang but they are becoming outdated looks wise (i love turn of the century cars) 1996-2010 and the mustang is really getting dated in the power department with 300+ hp cars the norm now. I could always dump more money into it but itll still always be a Ford Mustang and a Nice F150

I wouldn't get a German crap, Yes, they are nice & powerfull & highly modern, but man! their maintenance is just too ridiculous!

This, My dad payed 1500$ for someone to replace a thermostat in his BMW.

I hate the car so much, its cool and all but everything is rediculous.
