Damn I just saw this and read through everything. This whole ordeal is really unfortunate man. I hope everything works out. If it ends up not being totaled make sure you feel 110% confident in the shop that is completing the repairs. It is BS if the insurance company tells you otherwise. So in other words - find a shop (would be cool if you had a Mustang specialty shop near by) that can complete these repairs and that you feel good leaving your car with. The last thing you want is to have your insurance company pick a shop that you are not comfortable with and get the car back with half-assed repairs. This damage can be repaired even better than factory - you just have to find the right shop. Good luck man.

Yeah I know it sucks Yeah trust me I am not going to except it back if it's not 110% correct. If anything feels wrong or off it will be going back.

If there is serious frame damage you can sometimes request to have it totaled. The closer you are to the amount to totaling it the easier it will be.

Yep, make sure you stand by that too. I have seen some amazing repairs where the damage was damn near depressing and it emerged better than brand new. But I have seen some shitty repairs that are so obvious you know the shop was lazy as hell. So make sure you look that Stang over with a fine tooth comb and maybe even take it to another shop to have them go through it for extra eyes. I really do hope everything works out in your favor man. Good luck

Thanks for the kind words man! I will definitely be anal about the finished result and go over it a couple times. Good idea with bringing to another shop I will do that also. I will keep you all up to date on the stang and hope it turns out better then before!

I got into an accident about a year after buying a brand new loaded explorer (someone turned out in front of me). total repairs were 19k and to total the vehicle out it would need to be over 25k (if i remember correctly). that was 80k miles ago and the truck drives like brand new, straight track and smooth and i'm not at 110k so just hope you have a good repair shop.

Great man - I hope for the best. Shit like this sucks but that's part of life. I look forward to hearing an update and hopefully it'll be one that starts you off nicely in the new year .

Yeah me too! So in the meantime, it's time to plan mods for it when I get it back
