you can do a white balance tweak taking all of 2 seconds to correct

That's what I was reading on a different forum. I had it on custom and was trying to adjust it, but I did not get the camera until 10 last night and I found that part of the manual this morning.

In that tungsten light, I would set a custom white balance entirely rather than using the hard coded ones in the camera. Tungsten is awful as you experienced. Tweak your aperature as well to reduce the staring of the lights behind the tractor.

I thought tungston was used in incandescent lights. The is a high pressure sodium light. I had my aperature at f11. Reducing means going higher numerically right?.

Shoot in the f4.5 to f8 range and you will be in the less starry sweetspot.

Even if those lights are sodium light, there is no sodium light setting on any camera. Because it's the same vitamin C orange tint of tungsten, use the tungsten setting or go full on custom white balance.
