Does increasing the f-stop increase the time that the shutter is open? It seems like when I try to take a shot, the lowest I can go is F5.6 :eek is that right? if I take it up to f13, I have to put it on a tripod and pray that the object stays still, which my cat never will lol

Edit, I found it. I guess Av is not a good mode to shoot something that has the potential of moving




Still in manual mode, the lowest my aperture will go is 5.6.

Edit, found that answer too might as well delete my post and add this to the sticky
