New Brakes, At Last!

Took a few photos during my many beer-breaks throughout the brake install - enjoy.

Here's what we started with...

My 2 babies...

NEVER let your brakes get like this... I don't know how on earth I did

At last... (Haven't tried 'em out yet, still have to do the fronts, but I'm experiencing a bit of a rain-delay at the moment)...

pretty sure there are 2 necessities to any installation, 1 being beer, 2 being a swear jar. lol.

haha that probe in the pic hasn't moved an inch in 14 months. let's call it a "work in progress" (it's just progressing at a snail's pace)

ps. the anal probe looks like it could use a nice wax job. no need to let the paint go bad if its gonna be a project car... ya know.

hahaha chris very funny it's an anal probe GT by the way !!

and yeah there's nothing that's gonna save that paint - it was terrible 5 years ago when I got her, and now it's just a waste of time to mess with it, at this point.

And I do not believe I said it was okay for you to get sequentials! :wink

yeah believe me - I tried. I tried everything, but a friend of mine who is a professional painter, believes that the clear coat on the probe was applied BEFORE the car's paint had dried completely, thus, royalley f-ing my car's paint up for good. Step 1 = New Engine Step 2 = New Paint Step 3 = Embarassing other 4-6 Banger stangs when they get passed by my "mustang concept car" as I like to call her.

lol i thank you... lol

ah ok. yeah them turboed probes run good. but isnt it gonna be your winter beater when ya get her done? i just drove my winter beater to Colorado Springs to drop the tranny and transfer case to fix the tranny leak, and also we replaced both CV boots. PLUS I found my vacuume leak so my 4wheel drive works once more! lol the vac lines that went to the switch touched the exhaust manifold and melted them all together. lol but i still cant fix my low range the lever is frozen in the transfer case. i think its the saftey in there but i dunno.

ah don't listen to chris, ever. he's seen one too many man-ginas and has tendancies to get a lot of things confused in his head.

take his car for example... it is white for pete's sake..

j/k bro <-- there, I made ammends

KLZE (j-spec) engines FTMFW!! Can't stand the looks of a Millennia, or MX-6. Glad I've got the Ford logo on my particular KL-powered 6er. FWD = FTL but she's got potential. Needs a new engine though. KLJE in her right now - 216 fwhp dyno'd back in '05. KLZE engines dyno somewhere around 210, stock form, and my 216 was modded, full bolt-ons. So looking to make the upgrade soon. Tough trying to finance two cars' modifications though. Ya'all know which car I'd rather mod....

oh and Chris... it's KevIn not KevEn lol. G'luck with the Jeep.
