Oh. Nevermind. The car is sitting on jackstands. I thought the apocalypse was upon us. Hovercraft Mustangs are a sure sign of impending doom.

Paint t3h calipers fuscia. Or mauve. Red will work, I guess, if you don't like living on the edge. Whatever!

I worked at Ford Credit at the time the Probe was introduced. I am not sure if everyone is aware of it or not but the Probe was slated to be the Mustang replacement. There was so much outrage by the Mustang community that those plans were scrapped. The probe production only lasted a couple of years.

yep. nobody back in '89 wanted a FWD, Mazda-Designed Mustang. Period. Thus began the 8 years (89-93,94-97) of one of the most saught after sporty Ford coupes in history, the Probe. With a turbo-4 and a high revving 4valve 6 cylinder model, trust me, there are a ton of Probe addicts out there. Too bad when they reintroduced the Probe platform in later years, they called it the new Mercury Cougar. Oh well.
