well, for one thing, it's not a picture or not all the pictures are from a cobra. the motor is a GT, the gages aren't right either. cobras have the white gage faces and there should be a boost gage in the gage cluster.

maybe they took the pics of the VIN number from a white cobra and posted it saying it belonged to their car..

I bought my car from North Texas Nissan, and I've been following this story some on another board. The car started life as a Cobra until someone decided they wanted to put a GT drivetrain in it for whatever reason
 . They have to list it as a Cobra because that's what the VIN says it is. Just like if I were to put a 5.4 lightning motor in my car it's still a Mach 1. I never saw the outcome of the thread on the other board, but I do know the owners of NTN are super nice guys and weren't trying to rip anyone off.

there were GT badges on the trunk and you can tell that they were taken off but poorly.

I'd say that someone switched the vin for a cobra vin, then traded it in for the higher value of the cobra. the dealer probably didn't do quite as good of an inspection as they should have. that is a fairly common problem in the area that i live in.
