Bubbles in paint on hood fixed (Two-tone)

I was one of the unlucky people that had bubbles in the paint under the front edge of the hood. So, I took it to my dealer, they checked it out and said it was covered under warranty.

So I figured, if they are painting the hood...why stop there? Right?

Here's how she came out...

So what exactly did the 'bubbles' in the paint look like? Mine is starting to show tiny bubbles like the size of a pencil lead under the clear coat all over the car. Is that how yours was?

BTW. LOVE the colors!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this post guys.

First, thanks for the compliments

bossman2kgt - 281 Badges are from www.cjponyparts.com

Bhblondguy - License plate holes are filled with these little plastic "buttons". I got them at Pep Boys, but I'd guess that you can get them from about any auto parts store. They are black plastic and sorta look like a plastic screw with a flat head. I painted them with touch up paint. Looks better then the empty holes and is a temporary fix til I add a new bumper cover.

NamelessLiar - I should have taken pics, but I didnt. They were just under the front edge of the hood and looked like rust forming under there. I'm told that it is caused by some kind of chemical reaction between the two types of metal (aluminum and steel) used in the hood.

Thanks again guys!

They painted the hood under warranty...no extra charge for the color change,

I did have to pay for the rest of the paint work on the car though...only $750, inlcuding mirrors

I thought it was a good deal!
