Alabama International Dragway.

Went to pinks last night at our local track. Droppedbass and one of his friends drove up from MS and we met up. Here are a few pics that I got uploaded this morning.

1st episode 2 motorcycles (suppose to rerun again today for some reason)


2nd episode 84 fairmont vs thunderbird
They said both had chevy engines with spray.



Inbetween episodes they had stunt riders on motorcycles and 4 wheelers. Got to see one guy lay his bike down. They had some pro mods running 4.30s also to keep us entertained also. There were some mustangs running inbetween episodes that were pretty bad ass. Here is a pic of one. There were others that were wheels up about 12 inches. I will put pics of those cars up later. We are going back again tonight.

It was fun. Great experience. We froze our balls off though!
Alot differant than what we see on TV. They do ALOT of editing.
One time negotiations took nearly 20 mins.
When you watch the episode of the fairmont and the t-bird. Look for a blooper.

Inbetween runs , one of the guys got like 30 mins to work on his car or something. So they put the "light tree" back up and let some other cars bracket race. And then when the pinks cars came back for their next run they hadnt taken the tree back down. So look for the first pass or 2 of the fairmont and tbird to not have the tree up where rich stands , and then the next run the tree is up behind where rich stands! then the next run they took it down. I dont see that being able to be edited out.

And for some reason they didnt do best 3/5 seems like they did 4/5 for some reason. Not sure if its cause they wanted extra runs to edit some of the others out or what.

cause if 1 car 1 once they would have to race 4 times........

there was a decal on the windshield.. it said bounty hunter.. that's the mustang that i raced on my run down the track.. he ran a 10.6 @ 111mph

I met him and all the crew for the show at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA a little over a year ago... great group of guys who really know their stuff... however Rich really looks like an arrogant S.O.B on screen.

Cool pics ujslost. When I was down in the pitts they didn't allow people to have cameras... to avoid pre-released material from the show getting out before they air the episode. Looked like fun - I'm jealous - our tracks in Seattle are all closed down with the exception of motocross events.

yeah, the crew was pretty cool.. we ended up staying in the same hotel as them and we all ate breakfast together and shot the shit.. turns out nate lives about 2 and a hald miles away from me.. here is a pic of rich leaving our hotel in his v6 mustang



and here is rich up close and personal at the track.. i caught him off guard with the pic.. i guess he just has a "natural" pose
