And I'm here to tell you, ya can't see it in the picture, but ahead of the wrecker, in the pic where he's winching us, is the end of the street, a cul-de-sac with a big concrete island in the center of it. It had about 3 feet of snow in it. Here we were stuck in about a foot of snow with ice under it.....when the wrecker was done pulling us, he locked all 8 drive wheels together, and blasted in to the snowbank in the cul-de-sac, and when he hit it, the front of that Western Star came up in the air.....we thought he would be brutally stuck....but he not only stopped, he stopped, and backed up, 3 times, to be able to get around the turn, and walked through that snow like a fucking polar bear....I actually forgot to take pics of it because I was dumbfounded and have never seen a class 8 truck walk through snow so easily. You haven't lived until you have seen an 80 ton truck 50 feet long with twin 25 ton winches and a 50 ton boom on it blast in to a snowbank and jump up in the air in slow motion.

So, we get to the tank, have the helium leak, the hwy closes, and we go to a hotel....when we woke up in the morning, this is what things looked like:

(Made my co-driver stand in the snow again...told him "I needed perspective" hahaha...sucker)

Alas, I got 25 miles up the road, and she over heated cuz the rad was busted from the snowbank excursion.

But the Rum & Coke I had at the good samaritan's house was worth it. Almost...

No, no pics of me drinking or getting the second tow truck.....but when we were on the way to my house with the Merc on the hook, we passed a woman on the side of the road who had hit a deer, so we called 911 for her....and then passed the deer laying in the middle of the road....still alive with it's head up, looking at us.

Wished I had ma -er, a gun with me so I coulda put it out of it's misery.

Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. What a bloody week. lmfao

BWAL, I actually don't mind driving the big truck through snow, it's the other traffic that sucks. And I'm lucky to have a job that pays me by the hour if I get stuck, as long as it's not my fault.

I still would like to get my hands on that snow plow driver though....the rad for my car is going to cost me over 3 hundred bucks. lol
