Teaser Pics!

Well it snowed and so i wasnt able to get the pics i wanted of the 64 but i did get a couple that are somewhat of the finished motor! I ran it today and let it warm up for the first time! It sounded nice and agressive, and really woke the car up!

I also am throwing in a pic of the tach i bought for my 96. 85 bucks shipped with the mounting bracket! Im just holding it there though!

it came stock the color that the valve covers are. The valve covers and cleaner are gold, the rest is black. Its a D Code 289, an extremely rare motor. I dont have the stock cleaner on there right now cuz i still have to paint it. Anyway im out to go do some work on it right now, and then i should have a video of it!

Here are a few videos. As you can see the streets arnt clear, so no action videos unfortuanatly. Anyway, its about 30 degress out side, and so that is why it takes a while for it to warm up.
The mallory coil will be gone soon, as with the lame old wires and resistor on the front of the motor. it also will have everything painted that i wasnt able to get to, such as the power steering pump and everything like that.

This is the cleaner that is suppost to be on it.

Congrats matt, you did a great job. I have followed matt online thru this entire process of rebuilding the top end of his dads mustang. He did a really great job of cleaning up the engine bay, and painting it all back to match the factory conditions. This was matts first big experience with a pushrod motor and I think he did a kick ass job on the entire thing. You got something to be proud of matt. Most 16 year old kids couldnt have done what you done. Not to mention he did all of it on his own except the machine work. You have a talent.
