Not to bad. I'm not a fan of the 28-135 IS lens. It's a bit soft in my opinion. But the CMOS processor is the only way to go. Nice choice in camera. Now just look for some lenses. If you want to shoot cars, get a 10mm-24mm F/2.8. If you want a super crisp lens for cars, low light, portraits I'd snag a 50mm F/1.8. If you ever have any questions, shoot me a pm. I freelance my work. I've been doing it for about 5 years now.

Great pics. The tires on it look like shit though. Way too small in the front.

The car looks awesome as do the photos, but did you intentionally take all of them with a rickety barbed wire fence in the background?

Whiteboy, uv filters do okay, but in the heavy sunlight Johnny snapped these a circular polarizer would work better, knocks down the glare and allows reflections.

You should have no problem with the 40D getting just as sharp of shots hand held.

These shots don't look to be heavily photoshopped outside of a bit of sharpening and vingetting..

If you want to save yourself a few bucks on filters (they can get expensive especially if you go after a named brand or multicoated version) look on the web, couple good places to start -
