03 Sonic Blue Photo Shoot(Part I of III)

Well this past weekend I had a chance to get out in the sun and take some pics. The weather the past month or so has been rainy or just plain cloudy. Just about a week ago the sun has been shining so this past weekend I thought I might as well grab the camera and my girl(love) of 5 years and counting, and this was the result. Some of you who followed my earlier threads on the hood and rim upgrade can finally get to see what the car looks like in some sun. There was some high clouds and in some shots some thunderstorms off to the distance that made some nice back drops for a few select shots.

I just used a sony cybershot camera to take these photos on automatic setting and I am not a pro at taking pictures so excuse my amateur embarkment on these photos but some turned out pretty good!

Things the car will get by this time next year is a good lowering...yes it's got a 4x4 stance...don't remind me...lol. Shorter antenna...grill delete...and of course the one mod I am looking forwards to is my 3700 stall torque converter upgrade. That coupled with my 4.30 gears ought to make one hellava ride!!!! I have all winter to think about what I can squeeze in, in the mod department...so this is it for pics this year. Overtime at my job is kicking in so not much free time in the near future. Hope you all can appreciate what I have done so far. Thanks in advance for your gracious comments!

Well, yeah I kinda know what you mean. But an overcast day does no justice to the kinda paint I have. The sun when shining right really makes the blue so gorgeous as I was trying to get the chrome to show too! Dusk also really makes the sonic stand out. Like I said I'm not a picture pro...but maybe one day I will catch on...lol.

Thanks...sometimes you can get that perfect shot by luck...and sometimes the luck is in your favor if your good at it! By the time I lower it I plan on taking more time and getting some different light situations and taking some location shots...my car is not going anywhere anytime soon!

same here. i knew they sat up but didn't know how much until i lowered mine. now that its lowered all the stock ones look like trucks.

lowering isn't as expensive as you think. you can get a mild drop and all you need is springs and alignment...not expensive.

looks great.

Thank...yeah I know it's not expensive...as compared to what I have been spending on my car so far this year...the roads around here kinda made me think about it instead of doing it. Since now it's not my daily driver anymore...it is more of a priority to lower it then it was a few months ago...when I stopped using my car as a DD.

what i DO like about your mods so far is that your car is more GO than SHOW! After my 4.10's, I wanted 4.30's, just never got around to it... Not to mention your stall and J-Mod(which I have been told is a big change)

I understand doing it part by part... took me 2 years to get my car how I wanted it. I still havent found that damn money tree some members here have been pulling from!

and the only reason is everyone is on you about lowering it is b/c you look at is so differently after its lowered haha... sorta like after putting my 10.5's on the rear of mine, I couldnt fathom how I thought the stock bullitts ever looked good

keep it up tho, its a fine ass car!

I love the new hood. It makes me want a cowl hood. Pictures look pretty good and the rims are nice and shiney.

Suggestion on your pictures. Never take pictures of the shaded side of the car (example, pictures 1 & 2). Always take picture of the side that has sunlight on it (example, pictures 3 & 4). Also, pictures in mid-day sun are not as good as you initially think. They make some parts of the car too washed out while other parts are too dark. Like you said, the paint looks awesome around dusk. Evening and early morning are best (when the sun is down on the horizon). Also, you might not think you need it but using your flash can put the icing on the cake.

Don't think I'm criticizing you in any way. I was just giving you some tips.
