a friend of mine suggested that I check these forums out. Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.

this car was purchased as a repo and was beat up. the front seats were wrong, the wheels were ate up, the hood was busted up in the front, and numerous other little things.

2003 DSG cobra
4.6l built aluminator
2.3l whipple
kooks full exhaust
lethal/fore fuel system
built irs
tubular k member, etc etc
true forged 3 piece anthracite chicanes with chrome lips
numerous other typical mods

it has taken some hard work and deal hunting. It has come a long way since I first purchased it against everyone's suggestion but I just had to save her.

thanks for the help today Ryan. I got a few of the dark pictures cleaned up and looking better. I think they all came out pretty good for a hack with a fancy camera. While it is nice out we need to go cruise more often. Next time you are off and I am home bring the car over and we can look over some things to solve that rattle, inspect the clutch, and whatever else.

I dont think you would like the price. between the motor, blower, and wheels there is close to 20k invested let alone all the other parts and hard work. I'm glad you like it though.

LOL! thanks! I had the reflective inserts on my 98 sc cobra and just had to do them again on the dsg. cool thing is during the day the black insert sometimes almost matches the dsg because of the sunlight

yeah i know exactly what you're talking about cuz mine do the same thing! i have to get mine redone though, they are bubbling pretty bad

the ford racing/whipple sticker came with my blower, I just removed the stock badge and placed it there. I figured it would look good since the background was pretty close to dsg in color.

oddly enough I have had several people say they just downright dont like it compared to my old setup. (satin finish ssr gt3's)............Granted the old wheels did look nice and were very popular but they were just that. Popular. I have seen several DSG cobra's on forums with them and wanted something different............and something with easy to keep clean chrome lips vs. polished like the ssr's. I wouldnt doubt if a few people in time do something similar to this but as of right now I dont think anyone else has this setup on a DSG cobra.

yep thats why i like my car so much its just different..i fi could afford those wheels id get them in a heartbeat.. but i am a poor college student lol.. i have a few wheel ideas going around in my head that would be completely different but not too sure how it will actually look in person.. haha anyone good at photo shopping let me know..
