There's a website called unexplained-mysteries.com with a few threads on this subject. One of which is hundreds of pages long. The TRUTH is that the moon landing did happen. Enough evidence exists to prove it. Hell, the mythbusters went after this one and showed how and why the pictures looked the way they did. As for photos being tampered with, I wouldn't be surprised. Just as photos today are tampered with to remove imperfections and other unsightly objects, smudges, and whatever else you can think of to make them look pretty. You think Time magazine would have wanted a photo with some crosshairs on it for it's front cover of an astronaut on the moon?

I LOVE to read about conspiracy stuff as well because there are so many convoluted nutjob theories out there it's almost as good as reading Stephen King short stories. If you really like conspiracy theories, seriously check out that site. It's a forum with some shite in it that would make God Himself look down upon mankind and say, "I don't recall creating that kind of stupidity." I was on it for a while but I had to leave because people are so hellbent on wanting to believe in things that don't exist that they'll make up the craziest stories you can imagine to get you to believe in it. From bigfoot, to vampires, aliens, werewolves, to aliens creating (or helped to create) the pyramids in Egypt, to government conspiracies, and the theories about the psychic realms of BS to include all kinds of powers. Some of these powers you may have heard of: Telekinesis, Pyrokinesis, amongst a whole array of garbage that cannot, does not, and will not ever exist.

There are people out there that believe the earth is flat (they are big proponents of the moon landing conspiracy, and they call themselves the flat earth society). These people believe a big wall of ice surrounds us in all directions and that's why water does not flow off of the edge.

There are others that believe an alien base is on the dark side of the moon and our government was told by aliens to never return.

Just as sickening are the 9/11 conspiracy theories. One of my close friends was in the Pentagon when it happened. Yet there are people who were thousands of miles away claiming it wasn't a plane. AND PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT?!?!

Oooh, how about chemtrails? That's the theory that the contrails you see from airplanes are actually chemicals being dumped into the atmosphere by the government. The same government they believe is lying to you about the moon landing. I don't know about the rest of you, but I've been on a number of different planes, from a cesna, to commercial aircraft, and an F-16. If you look at the wingtips at a high enough altitude, you can see the lines coming off of them. Moisture/ice. If you've ever been skydiving, even in the middle of the summer you know how much cooler it is 2 miles off the ground. Another 10,000 or 20,000 feet, you get the point.

The reason WHY conspiracy theories exist are because of people who are BORED. Same reason I have read the crap in the first place. Something to do. People watch something on tv, and then they think of that part in the movie "Unbreakable" where Samuel Jackson is talking about the origin of comic books and how they came to be because of actual events and have become exaggerated. Somehow it becomes an obsession in which people will stop at no end to justify a belief completely encompassed by fantasy that has become their reality.

Call me a realist, but I find it absolutely insane for people to take an actual event and twist it into a conspiracy, and even worse, actually BELIEVE in it all because of the boredom of someone else who just wanted to stir the pot a little.

Seriously, we as humans think too highly of ourselves. I mean I understand it took millions of years for dinosaurs to be obliterated by an asteroid, and that we harness the same kind of devastating force now with nukes. But seriously now, for us intervene in the cycle of nature and command the environment is a bit nutty. We might as well start putting top dollar on free energy research.

There are natural warm and cool periods. We are heading towards a cooling one. Before that there needs to be a hot period.

But we have increased CO2 emissions above natural levels and may have cut some years off on the road to the cold period. And to think that all the cars and burning of fossil fuels has no effect on this is plain retard. We also did land on the moon. And dinosaurs are real and to think not is plain retard, you put them in your gas tank. And I love when (no one here) people with certain religous positions believe scientists when it is convient for their position on one issue, but not others. REAL FUNNY!

Nothing is ever as good or bad as anyone says it is. Plain and simple. But ignorance and "fuck it " attitudes get no one any fucking where. But nothing will change until it is too late because that is the way of the world.

im no tree hugger either but environmental issues are interesting to me. I took an environmental class and i really liked the class. after taking the class i don't know what to believe. But even if this is a hokes, i think we should all care about the earth a little more. we only have one, and i really don't see a problem with making things more efficient. ( my O/R H pipe is my one get out of jail pass) haha.
