Oh a psych, a good one that is, can tell you a lot. I found out that I am an alcoholic with anger management issues. I drink a beer or two a couple times a week with dinner and have only been drunk once in the past two years. My 1SG also accused me of being to damn happy all the time. GO ARMY DOCS!

Yea they say my brother needs sleep pills because he sleeps like 3 or 4 hours a night. Yet he has done that for the last idk 3 years since he was in high school so yea 3 or 4 years yet he just now needs pills since he talked to a syco evaluator.

Not everyone shares my type of sense of humor though.

I didn't mean to start a whole evolution vs religion thing but you did touch upon migration and such, and migration of beings from one region to another was a big factor in evolution and the whole survival of the fittest. I don't completely buy into evolution but rather I have a hybrid belief of it and religion (and I don't mean religious organizations but in faith from within).

It would really take a lot for me to start losing my cool than this whole immigration debate. It's quite an emotional subject for many parties, those directly involved and those opposed. I respect those who can make great arguments that have at least some logical basis, whether they use inductive or deductive reasoning.

My current girlfriend is from Mexico. She is here legally on visa's. She has been here 6 years. her mother is sick, and she wants to go back to Mexico to see her. She can't because her visa could be revoked and she might not be allowed to come back. She pays taxes, and does not take a dime. Well except from me lol. She lives in a nice house, drives a nice car, has nice clothes and jewelry. She does all this because she works her ass off 7 days a week. Her stepsister and her stepsisters boyfriend and one roommate all live with her. They all work two jobs and work about 12 hours a day every day. All of them pay taxes and bust their ass. All want their citizenship and all are having problems getting it. The roommate has a an exwife here and two children. All US citizens. The step sisters father just died yesterday. My gf's stepfather. Niether can go back for the funeral for fear of not being allowed legally in to the country again. How fucked up is that? A lot of people have raised some good points on both sides of this issues. I have really mixed feelings about it myself. Their is no easy answer. However if nothing is done or if too mich is given, we risk serious damage to this countries economy and well being. We need to find a middle ground. I just don't have the answer to it right now. Unless we go the South Park route and have a big gay redneck orgy and start screaming "dey took R jerbs!" lol

I think it really is a shame that your girl can't go see her mother, being sick and all. Again on a personal note, the despair my mom went through when she learned that her mother was getting ill and not getting the help that she needed to get better... It's a damn shame when fear overrides psychosocial needs of an individual. It is seriously insane.

Everything that they have to do in order to become a citizen and yet its stuff that like you said, not even your average hs kid can answer or knows about. My pops showed me his practice exam back in the day, and it was stuff that even I was wondering how it was even relevant to everyday life.

You're right though, it would be hard to find an answer to this debate as it is quite a delicate situation. I alone can't seem to find an answer too because it is a tightrope balance between freedom and security.

I would understand as well... It takes a special kind of person to be able to account for the psychological stability of many fellow people all while keeping yours in check as well. Sleeping pills is the worse thing you can do to yourself if you're trying to get good sleep. Medication doesn't allow for REM sleep, which is dream sleep. REM is essential for recuperating from the daily grind, from both physical and mental processes.

There's something about light therapy/melatonin these days, making them reset the circadian rhythm back to a desirable cycle that could allow for better sleep.

Um yea BTW i speak english if you cant tell. I know what the first paragraph said altho i have heard the opposite. I have heard a dreamless sleep is better for you. IDK i sleep from 3 to 7 in the morning and i last all day.I go to work 9 to 5 get home at 6, go outside and chill with friends, come home eat, watch NCIS both the new and old one or what ever is on that day, play xbox for a couple of hours, then get on facebook. Everyday and i feel fine never short of energy. IDK y they say sleep 6 to 8 hour i dont and i am 160 pounds 5 foot 11 other then having a little bit of a gut im in realy good shape i dont get sick but maybe once every 2 or 3 years.

Ell well my bro will just leave the pills on the counter never take them and tell them he sleeps fine.

As far as your other post i will not comment because i am a strong supporter for this war but i think its because of my mind set. I will argue till you give up on that subject.

Light therapy and melatonin work wonders in my opinion. Back about ten years ago my work hours were causing serious hell on my sleep cycle. Some one I know recommended the folowing to me that their doctor recommneded to them.

Black out your bedroom. No lights at all. Not even a little clock on the TV/DVD player. nothing. Get a lamp with a soft bulb in it. Place the lamp on timers. One to gradually lower the light over approx 30 minutes and one to gradually turn the light on over 30 minutes. At night when you lay down for bed let the light shut it self down. In the morning let the light come on 30 minutes before your alarm clock. That mixed with melatonin really helped me a lot. Soon I was waking up without the alarm clock and just 5 hours of sleep felt better then 10 ever could. I stopped doing this after about a year. My hours changed and I was able to regulate my sleep much better.

I thought that it allowed REM sleep but was not "good" for you because you skip the steps of the cycle and just go straight to REM and than you wake up right out of it. If thats how i remembered it was the waking up part that when you miss the steps waking up gradually is what causes you to be more tired.

I just bought some Melatonin 3mg from walmart for like 9bucks. I cut the pills in half and i have no problem going to bed. And usally dont wake up to grogy, those other sleep aids make me fell all cracked out the next day.
