March Against Madness- Please Read This

I don't know if you're all hip to the GOP's new campaign against socialized health care, but it's called "March Against Madness" You don't have to be a republican to go there and do it, but if you're like me and you don't want the new Health care Bill to get passed then check out this link and send the email. I have done this on several occasions along with a hand written letter to Senator Carl Levin. I myself might not make a difference, but if 10% of you all do then that's damn near 3000 letters. Just think about that.. Strength comes within numbers, and we all need to come together to prevent this socialist regime from unfolding in front of our eyes, and taking our rights. Please if you have half of a brain, and love your country, do something about it.

Tell Congress to Vote NO on Socialized Healthcare - Republican National Committee

My first response on the letter...

March 19, 2010

Mr. Richter

XXXXX XXXXX Rd

XXXXX, MI XXXXX

Thank you . . .

. . . for contacting me about health insurance reform legislation. I understand your concerns.

We in Michigan know that times are tough. Rising health care costs are making the situation worse: nearly half of home foreclosures are because of a medical crisis, and many companies, faced with skyrocketing insurance costs, have been forced to lay off workers or eliminate health coverage for their employees. Without health insurance reform, small businesses will be saddled with rising health care costs that could reach nearly $30,000 per employee in just 10 years, costing 3.5 million American jobs. That is a price that we in Michigan cannot afford to pay.

Government spending on health care is also rising at alarming rates. Medicare and Medicaid spending has gone up by $160 billion in just the last two years. Without reform, Michigan will be forced to spend up to 75% more on the state Medicaid and MIChild health programs, another cost increase we simply cannot afford.

Health insurance reform is about jobs and strengthening our economy so that we can truly compete in the global market. It's also about lowering health care costs for families, businesses, and taxpayers.

That is why I support health insurance reform that makes health insurance affordable for families and small businesses; stops insurance company bad practices so you get what you pay for; and strengthens and protects Medicare so seniors can rely on their health insurance for years to come while reducing the federal deficit.

I will keep your views in mind as Congress moves forward with the reform effort. For more information about the health insurance reform debate, please visit my website, at U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow - Michigan.

Thank you again for contacting me. Please do not hesitate to do so again if I can be of help to you or your family.

Sincerely,

Debbie Stabenow

United States Senator

Fuck this, I hate MI's politicians. They're all union happy, minority loving, anti-america, tree hugging left wing cocksuckers. They support Obama's Socialistic regime through and through.

futuremach1 the reply is typical liberal bullshit replies. You're definately in a tough state for political support for conservative action. I have the same problem in Maine with RINO Senators.

This is what health care should be.
Gesundheit! News | Gesundheit Institute

The Gesundheit Institute began as a group of twenty friends, including three doctors, who moved into a six-bedroom home and called it a free hospital. The hospital was open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week for all manner of medical problems from birth to death. 500-1000 patients were seen each month, with 5-50 overnight guests a night. Though staff had to work outside jobs in order to support themselves and their families, for the first 9 years none of the staff left. Over its 12-year history, 15,000 patients were seen. These years provided a "proof of concept," affirming the direction of building a full-scale, rural hospital to serve as a place of service and a model of care.

Done, but I doubt it would make a difference even if every single person registered on this forum sends one in...

Those people in there don't give two shits what 'we the people' think. They end up doing shit the way they want to anyway. There would have to be massive riots nationwide in order to get their attention...

Im going to go out on limb here and play devils advocate.
I have a question. Please dont answer with "I heard" or "I think". If you want to answer, use FACTS.

Does "socialized" healthcare mean that instead of me paying $200 per month plus copays, plus stuff they dont cover I can get healthcare at no cost? Does it mean that people like Jules can get the treatments she needs for her loved one without any trouble?

I am NOT asking this to try and make a point so save your flames. I am trying to find out. I cannot find FACTS to these types of questions because the whole debate is stuffed so full of bullshit and I have a job that keeps me from being able to troll around all day for answers.

Don't get me wrong. Unions can be a good thing, they can protect workers against the large faceless corporations they work for. In the past they have done just that.

But they can (and have) become large, corrupt, and unruly as hell. THAT has happened more and more over the years.. and that is the problem with them now...

As far as this obamacare...

The whole country will be able to get "free" healthcare just like any U.S. Military veteran can go the V.A. hospital for treatment right now.

(they put my dad's Vietnam buddy -who had a heart attack- on a 6 month waiting list just to see a doctor for a consultation)

Of course I think its retarded. The V.A. is a fucking joke. If they can't take care of our vets now, how the hell does anyone expect them to take care of the whole country..?

Not only that, but if all healthcare is govt socialized and the govt ends up paying the doctor's salaries (which will probably be a lot less than it is now) who the hell would want to spend all that time and money to go to med school just to end up working for peanuts? Fewer doctors and a lot fewer GOOD doctors.

The U.S. is badass when it comes to medical research.. that's because it works the good ole American Way.. we want the best man for the job. The better you are at what you do, more people want you to do work for them... and you make more money.

You have really badass potential doctors who work hard in school to try and be the best... then socialized healthcare comes in. The government pays them whatever they decide. New doctors don't find America as favorable of a place to work anymore.. So they go somewhere else. We end up with fewer doctors and long waiting lines filled with people waiting to see some sub-par doctors who are trained to give you an asprin...

im not trying to get on anyones bad side tonight but i feel like arguing. All healthcare and Insurance is socialized! If you were the only person with the coverage that you had,.. you would not be able to afford it. that is Health, auto, home owners and so on insurance!

The particulars haven't all been disclosed as of yet. The best way of getting understanding is to take a look at Canada's health care system. Sure it may be free JA, but there is more to it. I suggest that you look into Canada's system. Ask Zip I am sure that he would know quite a bit about it.

How so, Who is going to pay for all of the people who don't pay for anything? I would much rather pay more for my personal health care program than support some junkie motherfucker's family, and his meth babies. I am middle class, and I can afford it just fine. I pay of $1300 a month for myself and my sister who is under my policy. I make do, it's called living within my means.Something that all of the autoworkers, and union heads have forgotten how to do. People need to stop living on plastic dreams and live in reality.

I have a lot against the unions. Unions did build this country, but by the 1940's they were corrupted, and by the 1950's they were working against the industry, and for themselves. You need to really take a look around. If the UAW fell tomorrow it would be a fucking blessing. It makes me sick when I think about these assholes who getting paid $65 an hour to cut grass at a Ford plant. How about the $78 an hour cleaning lady at the GM Tech Center. How about this, My uncle on my mother's side who is a fat lazy motherfucker used to gross six figures a year working at Chrysler, Used rape them for all of the overtime that he could get, and worked maybe 30hrs a week. Most of the time him and the other mill wrights were at Motor City Casino. Oh they're all crying the blues right now, and it serves them right.

I am a member of Local 324 Operating Engineer. I have an Owner/Operator's Card. Those fucks are so greedy that they have forced most construction companies in the area to shut the doors. I'm talking businesses that have been around for 50yrs or more. The overhead in times like this was killing them. You pay a man that much money you should get loyal service, and a true company man, but these union heads take it for granted. Well the cash cow is gone, and now they have nothing, and they have no one to blame but themselves and their unions.

I have a different perspective, because I come from a family business. We have two union companies, and I have worked for both. They're all lazy cocksuckers. They wave their seniority around like they're fucking better than everyone. Don't get me started on the piece of shit Ba's. I have smacked two of them off their feet. and tried to crush one in his car with an excavator. They're all scumbags. The union is sess pool. You can have your union. I don't want it.

Not only that, but if all health care is govt socialized and the govt ends up paying the doctor's salaries (which will probably be a lot less than it is now) who the hell would want to spend all that time and money to go to med school just to end up working for peanuts?

Unions started out as a good thing. They have since become piece of shit organizations with corrupt leaders, and lazy, greedy, worthless ideals. I am not going to hire someone because some says I have to. I don't care if somebody has 10 more years in than me. Especially not when my last name is on the door of those trucks, and machines. I don't care if the guy is only a certain type of operator. When the job needs to get done then do it, or I'll replace you. Simple as that. I don't play reindeer games at work. All of these lazy motherfuckers with their cards looking for work can stick them where the sun don't shine.

Back to health care, do you know where this money is coming from? I seem to recall a loan from China that we have to pay back. Is this money going to magically appear?

I think the government needs to take a step back. They already have too much control as it is. The feds need to worry less about the stupid bullshit, and more about protecting our land, and the war on terror. Give a little power back to the States. Let them handle gun laws, state aide, welfare, etc.... We need to cut out the programs that assist immigrants. Some don't even pay taxes for 5 yrs. That is ridiculous. Yet they take 34% of my gross income every year. Think that is fair?

How about the invasion of privacy the health care bill is going to do? Have you thought about the Doctor-Patient Confidentiality? I don't know about you but I like my privacy. I like paying for my own way. I don't however like paying for those who don't try to support themselves.

America needs to remember where it came from. We don't need hope and change we need to get rid of this liberal cocksuckers, and break these unions. Then take the constitttion and read it. We then need to run this country like it was designed to be run as a democracy. We need to get rid of these socialostic ideals that the current administration has. If we don't put our foot down then we're going to lose all of our rights. I don't know about you, but I'll die before I let that happen.

Here's the way I see it.

Public schooling is a formed of a socialized organization. Public schooling has done way less than par as far as getting children ready for higher education (college and university). I would know I was a product of public schooling and boy did I struggle to get to where I am now.

The education system is failing; People are not getting adequate amount of classes in public universities and many professors are having to take furlough days in which affects the quality and time that we as students have to learn. The government can only provide so much aid to those students from low income families to continue on their educational path.

So if this socialized structure fails in the education system, what makes them believe that it will succeed in healthcare?
