BO'dGT-
That video was great. It helps clarify other things like 'hot side' and how that may apply to the materials used in the Hot/Cold piping to do their jobs..
Gotta love the efficiancy over Superchargers too...
Thanks for the info-

BTW, I'm just curious how loud a turbo system on our V8's is?
I've heard the different types of S/C whistles and whines, but since the turbo has less mechanical stuff, and the air+ is powered by air exhaust, I would think it would be a much quieter device.

That being said, does a Turbo require a high flowing and thereby louder exhaust?

Is it possible to keep the overall noise of the car in check, and have a "stealthy" sounding ride under normal driving?

Ok so he has them hidden. What does he do about the sound? You can hear a turbo a mile away. Then double that...

+1 thats how mine is. you can really tell, but once she goes into boost it gets louder and then when the wastegate starts dumping the excess it gets really loud

if you wanted it quiet you could do a full exhaust and recirculate the wastegate dump back into the exhaust and just have electric cutouts a little ways down the exhaust where you could open em before gettin on it, but keep it nice and quiet while its closed

im going to keep the wastegate vented but i want to do a full exhaust to the back bc there is way too much noise in my cabin right now with the muffler just ending pretty much right under me. then have the electric cutout right under me for when i really want it

From STS website, very funky setup. That show Gearz had installed a Vette twin turbo, the piping is below the stang photos, pretty sick setup but SO MUCH TUBING...Completely replaces the mufflers.

2005 GT...check out the air filter location!

Twin's
