Wow.. Got a lil sidetracked there. ADD's a bitch.
Pending on what TYPE of S/C you wanna run, you will see different results. A Roots or twin-screw, such as Kenne Bell or Steeda will give you a more broad powerband, BUT it will platuea. A Centrf. style, ie; ProCharger or Vortech will continue to make power so long as your block don't give up. All will take power to make power. Many centrf. style blowers get referred to as belt driven turbos, in that they have some lag and will continue to make/hold boost thru the RPM band. Turbo(s) are a whole different ball of yarn. For those not in the know or who have been given false info, they use kenitic energy to spool the turbine, not the speed of the exhaust gas. The heat from the exhaust spins the impellors to spool the turbines. Expansion, in a nutshell, is what takes place. Many on here recommend to do a TT setup if ya got the dough. Pending on what you are wanting your car to be, a single will suffice. As will a supercharger. Personal pick would be a P-1SC from ProCharger. 8PSI, easy install, warranty, tried and true product.

who told u that turboes run off of heat expansion from the heat created by the exhaust gases? that must be a new type of turbo, I just talked to my supervisor who has 16 yrs experience workin on cars and he said hes never heard of a turbo that runs off of heat expansion

Kenitic energy. The heat from the exhaust is what spins 'em... Heat makes things expand. When it can't expand, things will break. The impellors are the relaese point for the heat.
