Meth/water inj. any downside other then running dry?
I'm looking at the Mongoose Kit http://modularpowerhouse.com/product...f18b593cb8cbad from modularpowerhouse but don't/can't spend the money on the aftercooler. So it's either the Mongoose with meth/water inj. or Procharger with their intercooler.
I haven't seen much mentioned about meth/water here...any downside? And will it give me as much of a boost as if i went with Vortechs aftercooler? |

Are you running any kind of forced induction? becuase if you're not then there's no need to methanol/water injection.
The whole idea behind methanol/water injection is to reduce intake temperatures and possibly allow for a more aggressive timing under forced induction. It's basically a chemical intercooler. Personally, i'd rather have an intercooler than water injection. you'd have to go and refill you resovoir every so often, which after a while would be a pain in the a** after a while IMO.. |

I've heard there are issues trying to tune with it. Check with your tuner. I know that GN guys have been usibg meth inj. for years without any issues.

Have you looked at Snow Performance and their kits? Their boost cooler has worked well for me. http://www.snowperformance.net/

A snow kit would not be bad...
Also make sure that if you buy the mongoose kit pay the extra $250 to uprgrade the supercharger to the T-Trim... |
