my 1996 GT has around 124,200 miles.....would it be safe to get it supercharged after doing leak tests and stuff, or should i wait and save my money for a younger engine?

i'd say put the money you were going to spend on a supercharger & just stroke your 302 & make 350-400HP N/A, & then add a lil No2 shot, lets say 125, & you will have one sick ass ride!

but if your engine doesn't have good compression, it's not going to run optimally

well considering he has a modular engine, he doesnt have a 302, but you might be better off to just rebuild your engine with all forged internalls and do your heads and cams. you can make ver 300 rwhp n/a. thats enough to run low 12s. also later on your can run a s/c

but if your engine is in good shape and not been beaten on, it should take to it well but i would not put over 8 psi on it and dont rev it past 6000 rpms with the blower

ARE YOU SURE YOU CAN RUN LOW 12'S WITH 300RWHP???? The new shelby GT 500's run high 12's, low 13's, and that is with 450RWHP! Granted that are heavier but that just doesn't seem right to me.
