BDT Belt Driven Turbo (Supercharger)

hey, i found a site for a belt driven turbocharger... or rather, a supercharger. The man would hook me up with a setup for 1200 bucks (without the bracket) 2500 with the bracket. i figure i could rig up something with a piece of steel or metal for less. anyone have any insight into a bdt from boosthead.com?

IDK I would personally want to go with a company like procharger and get a trusted name behind something like a s/c which all that is is a centrifugal s/c since a turbo is exhaust driven, but with something that can destroy a car like a s/c I would go with a more popular brand

Superchargers / Turbos don't typically destroy cars ...

I mean its just Air

---
IDIOTS who try and run ungoldy psi on stock motors, or who run un-tuned for 6months because they could only afford the turbo/supercharger and dedonate their motor 3 or 4x a day, then race every car they can at a red light destory their cars

well yeah but a poorly manufactured s/c or turbo would not be to nice to your engine.

well, I have the money for this item. it appears to be "decent" for me to use on my car. I plan on getting the car tuned immediately after the install.

But Go for it, let us know how it comes up. GET A DYNO TUNE AND SOME HP NUMBERS

thing is... i dont know much about the set up for a turbo or supercharger system. I found many items that are seperate that could be rigged together, but im not mechanically inclined to do all of that... this item i am talking about seems a simple install with small gains.. but just enough to make it worth it. i do not intend to run more than 5 or 6 lbs of boost on stock internals. and im not in the market for changing my internals.
