3 Questions (Internals,T/C, S/C)

Alright. 1st of all, I would like to thank all of you guys.. Ive asked alot of questions and everyone has come through for me.. I have three questions..

1) I was on moranav6racing.com.. the only place ive seen to buy new internals for the 05+ mustang.. My question though is will new internals give extra HP? and if so how much. Or is it just stronger internals? My friend is into alot of tuners and he says they will add hp..

2) After the internal, I want a supercharger.. Now Ive read all on this site and know everybody loves Turbo.. I have to say i love the whistle of a S/C.. the only thing is i have a V6.. Is there anyway that a v6 could get to the 500hp range with a s/c? Plus i see alot of the procharger and it seems really weak. I see alot of 320HP V6 online and i mean if thats all imma get, hell might as well get a gt.. But insurance is a bitch.. If not then It will be turbo.

3) My friend has a 03v6 mustang and wants a supercharger.. Says he cant find one.. Does anybody know where you can find one for that year?

Thanks guys.. Know its alot.

By "internals," what exactly are you refering too? Reciprocating assembly? Valvetrain? If your talking about pistons, rods, crank etc... Simply replacing the OE components with stronger ones wont provide any gains in power. Although, boring and stroking... will increase power output, but i dont think your interested in that. If your also referring to valvetrain, then yes, changing the cams for ones with more lift, duration will gain power, but you'd also need to pick up the slack in other places to truly benefit from aftermarket cams.

Vortech makes a supercharger kit for your car, as well as Procharger. Both are great kits, and both can get you to your 500hp mark. Its all in the tune. Procharger i believe also makes a kit for the 99-04 V6 cars... check the website. Hope this helps.

k the internals wont add horse power ( pistons, rods, crank ) just makes it so you can run the car harder and not break it.

second yes you can see over 500 rwhp you just need to start looking at boring out your block ( upper and lower manifold and throttle body) , getting a new fuel system (injectors/pump), exhuast, and tuning.

and yes for the 99-04 v6. superchargers>>> vortech / procharger / novi / m90 / m112

not true
You can make more power with internals
It jsut dpeends on how there made allowing greater flow around the poiston head or the design of the crank allowing it to turn easier or the rods being lighter which lets it turn faster.
that all there will reward you with an easier revving engine so to speak.

yes but is this really noticable with out a poweradder? like yes if we change the crank size we can stroke it and get more horse but i don't think he was looking at that option. but yes having a lighter assembly does decrease the inertia of the parts and they do make it better for reving.

i'm guessing the idea is using internals with the stock specs. if not then raising the compression would make more power also. although not a good idea if he wants to sc it. the procharger is a great sc. you shouldn't let anyone tell you otherwise. there is a difference between the centri and the twinscrew chargers also.

centri chargers (like the procharger) will give you more of the power in the upper rpms

twinscrews (whipple, kenne bell) will give you more at lower rpms

Using lightweight (OE specific) replacement internals, doesnt actually provide enough gain in power to actually feel it, or to make it useful. So realisticly, the answer is still no, aftermarket internals dont "add" HP. Free a few extra HP up? Sure, not really enough to make a difference on the street, or at the track, especially not in a street based car. And who makes a twin screw supercharger for v6s?

I still dont know of any companies that make a twin screw for the six...

And supersixmotorsports makes internals and does aftermarket parts for the 3.8 and 4.0

Internals (forged rods and pistons) will not add horsepower they will just allow you to run more boost / nitrous.

Turbos tend to make more power than superchargers, and both CAN get you to 500hp

And 99-04 you can get a KB on it if you so please

99-04 V6? Where and who offers ANY KB supercharger that works on a V6? Because as of now, Kenne Bell doesnt manufactur a supercharger, or kit.. or retro-fit kit... for any V6 mustang.
