Boost Gauge Not Working... Advice?


Hey everyone, new to the forums! I have a autometer boost gauge, its got power, its got vaccum, and its got ground....but still nothing! can anyone help with my dilemma? or do I just have a bad gauge?

do you have a supercharger? j/k welcome to the site. i dont have a clue what your problem could be but im sue there a bunch of people on here who will ta=ell you right away what the problem is

You might have a leak in your hose that is connected to the back of the gauge unless your gauge is electric then it could be that your supercharger or turbocharger is not creating any boost at all. Let me know if that helps.

He says he has vacuum. Sounds like he might not be getting any boost.

you may have a leak in your boost gauge or a vaccum leak in one of your vaccum lines that run off of the intake manifold, the manifold holds vaccum so you may ave a line running off of the manifold that is broken and is letting boost escape, in that case the gauge would read very little boost, or nothing at all

You probably just have the gauge hooked to the wrong vacuum line, try another. Tap into the line running the fuel pressure regulator, that one is the type you need.
