roots usually cheaper, low end power
centri high end power, better for drag racing since you are in top of powerband anyhow.

roots will better off the line
centri isnt as fast off the line but it'll make up for it at top end. roots and top end dont impress me to much...=/ thats why turbo usually eats them up

i used to think the same but centri is what im goin for.....well if u get full bolt ons on ur GT, ported heads and some cams then throw a KENNE BELL s/c!!! u'll be in the 400's id say for sure. and destroy that sti. kenne bell makes i think 2.6 and even maybe 3.0 size pulley for 05+ GT's get those. Kenne bell makes a bad ass s/c

somone on the site has an 05 or 06 kb charged GT. i think hes in the 400 range not sure.

What did he say he has done to it? What does it pull in the 1/4? I know that they do run 300hp stock also you got to factor in that they are AWD which mean oee the line, if he knows how to launch it he will jump out on you anywhere from your front bumper being at his back bumper to a full carlength in between. I would be able to give you and idea of what he has if you tell me what he told you he had done and you give specifics and your race against him and or 1/4 mile time.

There are so many different varieties of each a compare and contrast is hard. Alot of people think that roots is "old school" and centrifgul chargers make more power.......tell that to my buddy who has a 66 Chevy II with a 2500 horsepower big block with a 14-71 roots huffer. Each version has low end and high end units. For EFI cars a centrifigul is the best bang for the buck and will make awesome horsepower.

you cant count a car that comes stock with a turbo as a mod. if the car is built to only run a turbo, you cant hold that against the car. as for what chris said, about the diff pulley sizes. your confused. they has a positive displacement blower, and they are like a 2.4, 2.6, and 3.0 those arent the pulley sizes. pulleies on different cars, are going to make different boost. throw on a novi 2200 and youll never outgrow it. its a badass blower. oh and the positive displacement blowers for the mod motors arent roots blowers, they are twin screw. they might look similiar but the innards are totaly nd compltely differnet

with that much gear, get the procharger kit. with the 4:10 final ratio of the blower, and the 4:10 gears in the rear, just get some drag radials and eat him alive! the procharger cars have a nice midrang and tomp end charge. other then from idle to 2500rpm, the procharger will walk a KB car. and its cheaper too.

WTF? You can't be serious.... What does the step up ratio of the blower have to do with the rear axle gearing?
