Intercooler


Hello guys..

iv just got tune in my car, with my new intercooler..

im making around 360whp now on 4 punds of boost.. on a 3.60 pulley, what size pulley would i go for if i want around 400 on the wheel..??

yeah i know i need a smaller pulley but i dont know witch one to go with.. because 4 psi is nothing.. i should make a little over 400whp with 8psi... so if i have so with a 3.60 pulley i make 4 psi witch pulley is going to push 8...

3.33 pulley and get on a dyno jet, I dont belive your making 360 rwhp on 4lbs

okay i dont care what people think... i was making 370rwhp before the intercooler.. on 7 psi and now it dropet to 4 after the intercooler..

That makes sense. According to a book called something like, Making Ford Horsepower on the Dyno, you don't need an intercooler if you're pushing less than 5 psi or under 500hp. The article claims that at minimal boost, the bends and restrictions of the intercooler and piping cause more restriction, and loss of power, than the reduced temp and increased density of the inlet charge can regain.
