that could be one of the most worthless, illogical, and idiotic comments i have read here*. That has no fact or proof behind it to back it up what so ever.

*of course excluding anything by NBA

i think rear mounts are garbage, to much labor and totally not worth it, i think some of you need to stay out threads like this because you have no idea what you are talking about...

This is the response i was waiting for. Most people seem to think "rear mounted" turbochargers are notorious for lag. This isnt true. This is the first post that has actually talked about the Quality of the STS kit, or lack of. Ive handled the STS kit, and its far from acceptable in terms of fitment and qaulity. Up until this point, the argument has been about performance and lag characteristics. Now though, the bottem line is simply about quality. Im amazed no one thought to ask this question in the first place.

too much labor to install?? you dont have to dissamble the engine compartment to put it in, it is the exhaust system so you dont need to upgrade that, ya the oil lines can get complicated, but it is much less labor than a front turbo

well sorry about getting off topic there. here is the last thing i just said that i would like a response to:

thats the best car i can afford....you are such a jerk! i am scarred for life. people really think that a roller is my daily driver. btw i have traded that and am working on a t88 351 shortbed ranger. the bottom line again is that sts could very well be made overseas and we would not know it. their quality is that bad. please dont make the mistake going with them. while easily installed and not to laggy thay dont give you good physical value for the money

I dont understand why so many people believe rear mount turbos are retarded. There is no difference in performance. It doesnt matter where the turbos are located, they will charge the system just the same. You think all the "fast" cars use only front mounted turbos? Take a look at Mike Murrilos Outlaw 10.5 car. Rear mounted, twin T88s. 6.70s @ 200+mph.

Yeah, rear mounts are retarded.
well that car is an ecption to the rule. if u have enough money you can build a bad anything. i dont know about where u guys r but at the dragstrips where i live you can not run a car with a power adder that is not in a firewall type environment. Those STS things are illegal at most if not all tracks due to the fact that if for some reason a turbo comes apart its basically a gernade with lots of scrapnel.
