Calling all SuperchargersI also found one of the hoses/tubes had a cut in it. It is about 1" long and I think it is on the hose after the surge valve....which would mean that it is not a pressurized hose...correct? If this is so, can I use some electrical tape wrapped around, then tightly wrap some duct tape and then more electrical tape to close it off? Thanks in advance! And for those who are overly concerned, I will be handing out rep points like candy!

First off all I highly reccomend you replace the tubing in question. Secondly are you installing this your self or having a shop? Either way I would have a shop take a look at it and check over everything just to be safe. Good luck! You will love BOOST!!

are you talking about that good year tubing that attatches the surge valve to the intake off the P1sc and than goes down to the outtake... (The tubing that is connected to your radiator)?
Cuz if so, i moved my surge valve down so i actaully only used half the supplied good year tubing. SO if the cut is towards the ends than you can just relocate where you want But if there is a cut in the metal tubing than ya buy a new one. IF its already installed you will notice if your surge valve is broken if you shift at about 4Grand when in boost. it will make a sputtering sound. But i dont know how to check it if its not installed? bring it to your tuner and he will know. Good luck on the install man. Procharger gives really good instructions and the install was pretty simple. I bought my blower used so it sucked having to go back and forth to a hardware store and a few times after trying to get the right belt size i almost gave up but i just ended up ordering the one fro procharger themselves. |

Anyway, to answer some questions, I have been doing a lot of reading and calling. It is the surge valve and I checked it. It is fine. It is a butterfly valve that procharger says, push open with your finger then press on the vacuum line. If the valve shuts, its bad. If not, it is good. If it was bad, Procharger said they would fix it for free! Awesome. The hose that has a slice in it I repaired. It is on the discharge side of the surge valve and again Procharger says all you really need to do is use tape. I instead got a coupling and used two hose clamps. It should work fine. As for the install, I am hoping it goes well. I already did the fuel pump, so that is out of the way. I need to reinstall my stock pulleys but I will do that when I go to install the s/c. Wish me luck, it goes down on Saturday! Welcome ~C~ to the wonderful world of BOOOOOOOOST!

I have no clue what the pulley sizes are in relation to the amount of boost. I need to research it. I will be running 10 lbs of boost. My tuner does a street tune, but he does hit the dyno to double check his numbers and give me an actual RWHP number. I will when its done. I cant wait!
