You can lower the motor in the engine bay by shimming the car up from the k member and then lowering the front of the car. Its a trick people do on 5.4 swaps to keep hood options open.

Yeah i thought about this yesterday! I am considering it as an option. but i am also worried about ground clearance! I think i can find a way to do a little of both- I would LIKE to be able to just use "hood spacers" basically washers in the rear to lift the back of the hood an inch or 2 and call it a day-

Why are you spending money on customizing a car rather than making it faster?
I am not calling you a ricer or anything its just that if I had the cash the garage and the mechanical skills I would be making my car faster.

But you already had 300 hp cobra. And even if your not buying any parts, time is money.

I think you're missing the point on this. It appears to me it's not so much about making it faster as it is to make it unique and to do something no one else has done. I for one applaud Kimo on this project and can't wait to see how it turns out.

All of us have different taste and like different things. There has been crazy custom cars for YEARS. And there are always going to be people that wonder 'Why?' It's just a car thing. It's the same reason you spent money on exhaust for a V6 that adds about 3 rwhp at the most. At least he isn't putting an Integra drivetrain into a 97 Cobra. Than we might have to get crazy.

Finished stripping the Integra today- IT IS READY TO WELD SOME BARS IN AND CUT OUT THE FLOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The doors are gone- the rear hatch is gone- the entire wiring harness is out- headlights are gone- All of the components on the firewall are gone- (all ac and heater cores etc) ![]() Pulled the mustang out of the garage, Started troubleshooting the motor alittle.... Wondering why the starter wont turn the motor over just make a loud clanking noise, but i can rotate it over with a ratchet and a breaker bar.... Still not to the bottom of it.... SMALLL chance that the motor is NOT locked up-
