siksol's "High PSI" 2.3T build thread...
So I got this car about a month ago and went to work on it right away...
I picked the car up having these mods: Holset hy35 turbo Procharger 3 core intercooler Stinger tubular header with full 3 inch exhaust into Magnaflow muffler 95# Delphi injectors 255lph hp Walbro pump synapse BOV TiAl 38mm WG gutted and rotated upper intake ported/knife edged lower intake Megasquirt 2 ECU running 2.1 extra firmware Hurst short throw shifter Spec stage 3+ clutch polyurathane trans, trans cross member and engine mounts Lakewood LCAs Ford Racing UCAs 8.8 with 355 gears and brand new heavy duty clutch pac 17" Saleeen SC replica wheels 9" front 10" rear with brand new front tires and slightly used BFG drs Lakewood 70/30 drag struts and 50/50 shocks ..prob few more things but thats the most of it. Since then I changed the head out with a ported and polished one, valves,springs, lifters, bigger cam etc.. Changed the turbo out to a new PTE SC6262, New PTE 46mm WG, custom made turbo manifold, has a BBK 70mm TB now, blocked off coolant to the intake, moved the IAT and bunch other lil random things like painted the engine back, tucked some wires and cleaned them up. Future things left to do for this summer is swap in a TCI streetfighter c4 trans using a 2.3 c4 bellhousing and flexplate I got. Custom converter Im thinking in the 3500-4000 range gonna wait and see what the guy says after looking at my dyno sheets. Goal for this summer is 400whp or slightly more (stock bottom end wont last long at this level) and run well into the 11's. Over winter a built bottom end will be going in with a water/meth kit and next summer hope to make 500whp+ and hit the 10's. Gonna keep that secret for right now till dyno results and a few things lol, Just say I got a guy that's been doing head work for 30 years go at it and nothing was left unchanged/stock. Will post up a video of the car fired up later this evening. |
